With the file list now a recursive walk of the whole card, an unranked short query pages through too much. Below PALETTE_MIN_QUERY (2) the result list is the MRU only, keeping Cmd-P + Enter quick-switch one keystroke away; two chars reveal the full fuzzy-ranked list. Commands (>) and snippets ($) are short curated lists and keep matching from the first char.
